Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am pleased to invite you to participate in the
5th Meeting of the Central European Neurosurgical Society,
which will be held at the Conference Centre at the Imperial
Riding School Vienna, A Renaissance Hotel, Austria, from
September 18 -20, 2008.
Following the inspiring meetings in Budapest 2006, Ljubljana 2004, Brno 2002 and Wroclaw 1999 we are proud to host this main scientific event of CENS in Vienna as a traditional cultural point in Central Europe. The center of our continent has now turned in a rapid growing economic region with enormous challenges for very different fields both in public relations as well as in business and private connections. In this context we understand CENS as a platform for neurosurgical health care cooperation, scientific progress and personal friendship.
To continue the successful and comprehensive stile of our society meetings the scientific program is focused on following main topics with special interest on: imaging, treatment, technical advances, results and management of complications: meningeomas; on sellar and parasellar tumours; decision making and management of subarachnoidal haemorrhage and ischemia; imaging, treatment standards and organisation in neurotrauma care; surgery of degenerative spinal diseases; and special focus on training in Neurosurgery.
The organizing committee will focus on providing an interesting scientific and social program for participants and accompanying persons with enough time to cultivate old acquaintances and to make new friends.
